Maven welders installing insulated steam piping and valves in a factory boiler house

PIPING INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE

Industrial Piping Installation in Nigeria

Steam, process, feed water, gas, fuel and fire hydrant lines, laid out, fabricated and installed by qualified welders, then pressure-tested before commissioning.

  • Pressure-tested before commissioning
  • Spools made in our Lagos workshop
  • Since 2009

WHY IT MATTERS

Pipework that holds pressure and keeps the plant running

Poor pipework costs money every hour the plant runs: in lost steam, fuel and water, and in shutdowns that take longer than they should.

  • Leaking joints and flanges that waste steam, fuel and water.
  • Badly drained steam lines that cause water hammer and slow heat-up.
  • Pumps left carrying pipe weight, which wears seals and bearings early.
  • Isolation valves in the wrong places, so one repair shuts down the whole line.
  • Bare or wet insulation losing heat you have already paid for.

HOW WE WORK

How a piping job runs

STEP 01

Tell us what you need

Send drawings, a scope, or describe the problem: a new line, a plant extension, leaks or water hammer.

STEP 02

Survey, method and price

For existing systems we survey what is there. You get a method, a schedule and a price, usually within three working days.

STEP 03

Spools made in our workshop

Pipe spools are fabricated in our Lagos workshop while the site is prepared, which shortens time on your floor.

STEP 04

Installation by qualified welders

Lines go in under experienced supervisors, with supports set so pumps carry no pipe weight.

STEP 05

Testing and flushing

New pipework is pressure-tested for tightness and flushed. X-ray and NDT are carried out where the job calls for it.

STEP 06

Insulation, commissioning and upkeep

Lines are insulated, painted and commissioned, followed by a maintenance schedule.

WHY MAVEN

Why plant managers choose Maven for piping

Tested, not assumed

Lines are pressure-tested before commissioning. On the Nigeria Distilleries steam lines we also carried out X-ray testing and NDT.

Working since 2009

Maven has delivered engineering, fabrication and installation work across Nigeria and West Africa since 2009.

Our own workshop in Lagos

Chimneys, ducting, pressure vessels, headers and structural steel are fabricated at our facility in Alimosho, Lagos, so less work is improvised on your site.

Certified welders and engineers

Work is carried out by certified welders, engineers and project managers, with a QHSE coordinator on the team.

Quality and safety built in

We work to a Zero-Defects Quality Standard, with a safety culture aligned with regulatory requirements and global HSE standards.

Sites in two countries

We have delivered work in Lagos, Sango Ota, Port Harcourt, Kano, Ilorin, Benin City and Cotonou, and keep an office in Cotonou for Benin Republic clients.

QUESTIONS

Industrial piping: common questions

What types of industrial piping do you install? +
Steam mains and headers, pressure reducing stations, condensate return, boiler feed water, blowdown and drain lines, natural gas, diesel and furnace oil lines, compressed and instrument air, sanitary stainless steel process lines, chilled water and pump room piping, and fire hydrant lines.
Do you pressure test new pipework? +
Yes. Every line is pressure-tested before commissioning and flushed to remove fabrication debris. X-ray and NDT are carried out where the job calls for it, as on the Nigeria Distilleries steam lines. Our hydrostatic testing guide explains the procedure.
Can you install piping without shutting down the whole plant? +
Often, yes. We have installed stainless steel process lines on operating factory floors, and we place isolation valves so one piece of equipment can be worked on while the rest keeps running, as with the two boilers at De-United Foods.
Do you install stainless steel piping for food and beverage plants? +
Yes. We weld and install sanitary stainless steel process lines for food and beverage production, using argon welding. See our stainless process piping guide.
Do you maintain or repair existing steam piping? +
Yes. We survey existing steam systems and repair steam piping, and new installations are followed by a maintenance schedule.
How much does industrial piping installation cost? +
It depends on pipe sizes and lengths, material, pressure rating, the number of valves and supports, and insulation. Send drawings, a scope of work or a short description of the problem on WhatsApp or through the contact form. Our engineers reply with a method, a schedule and a price, usually within three working days.
